Q1. How to disable Document Management System (DMS) for a plant, so that users are not allowed to use DMS?

Solution:
To disable the Document Management System (DMS) for a specific plant, users with Aptean Admin permissions can follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Setup Options in the navigation pane. The Setup Options tab will open in the top bar.

  2. In the grid, search for and select Documents.

  3. Click the Details icon in the contextual panel; this action will open the Document tab on the right-side panel.

  4. Select the desired Plant, then click Edit.

  5. The Edit document management for: Aptean DMS gird expand below. Turn off the Aptean DMS toggle button. Click Save.

Once the Aptean DMS option is disabled for the selected plant, users will no longer have access to the DMS features from the respective module. It’s important to note that users performing these actions should have Aptean Admin permissions to ensure proper control and management of Document Management System settings.


Disabling DMS would also remove the option to upload documents from the user’s local system.
