Roles and Permissions

The Roles and Permissions framework in AppCentral provides a structured approach to controlling access across the platform. It enables administrators to define who can do what by assigning specific roles to users and groups, ensuring secure and appropriate access to features and data.

Roles are collections of permissions that represent a set of access rights. Permissions determine the level of access a user has to products, modules, and specific features. By applying Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), administrators can align user access with job responsibilities, helping maintain security and compliance across the organization.

User access is determined by two key attributes: User Type and User Role. These attributes work together to define the level of access and capabilities available to each user within the platform.
